The Art and Craft of Letterpress PrintingA very brief sketch of the history of letterpress printing, and how Yale has been involved with some of the finest private presses of the 20th century. Getting Started: The Introduction to Letterpress PrintingThe complete twenty-first century Getting Started Guide to everything you need to know about acquiring a press, finding supplies, learning to print, and setting up your own letterpress shop! The definitive guide, written by the HCCP's own Scribe, David S. Rose '79. A Short Bibliography of Typography, Printing and the Book ArtsThis is a good place to learn about some of the many books that are available in the field. This bibliography originated from the book collection that won Yale's Van Sinderen Prize in 1979, and has continued to evolve ever since. It appeared in abbreviated form in the manual for Macromedia's Fontographer type design program. The Art of the Book: A Yale College Seminar for Spring, 2002This wonderful seminar in the Art of the Book has been offered six times since it was created in 1978 by Howard I. Gralla, a Pierson Associate Fellow and nationally renown book designer. It was jointly sponsored in 2002 by Jonathan Edwards and Pierson Colleges, both of whose presses were used by the students to produce limited edition books for their final projects.
