The Sherman Foster Johnson Printing Office of the Trumbull Press was founded in 1978-79 under then-Master Michael Cooke, by the donation of the type and equipment from the Bayberry Hill Press. Unfortunately, a combination of bad luck (including leaking steam pipes), loss of student continuity, and a Master with other priorities, has resulted in a press in serious disrepair. Several former Trumbull Printers led by Dan Sandweiss '79 (who helped set up the shop after the original donation) have indicated an interest in speaking to the Master to offer their services to restore the press, so there may be more news to report soon. In the meantime, anyone who may be able to help with this effort is encouraged to do so.
